Supported Features

Accessibility features currently available in Countiful.

Dark Interface

Countiful fully supports dark mode across all platforms. The dark theme reduces eye strain in low-light environments, lowers screen brightness for comfortable nighttime use, and can help conserve battery life on OLED displays.

How to Enable Dark Mode

Choose between Light, Dark, or System (automatic) themes on any platform.

iPhone & Android

  1. 1Open Countiful and go to your Profile
  2. 2Tap "Preferences"
  3. 3Under "General", tap "Appearance"
  4. 4Choose System (follows your device), Light, or Dark

Web App

  1. 1Open Countiful in your browser
  2. 2The app automatically follows your browser/OS theme preference
  3. 3To change it manually, adjust your operating system appearance settings

VoiceOver

Full support for screen readers, allowing users to navigate and explore the app using gestures, keyboard, braille, and speech output.

Voice Control

Navigate and interact with the app using your voice to tap, swipe, click, type, and more.

Larger Text

Dynamic text sizing that increases text in the app to 200% or more, respecting your device accessibility settings.

Differentiate Without Color Alone

Shapes and text used in addition to or instead of color to distinguish key information, ensuring no meaning is lost for colorblind users.

Sufficient Contrast

Enhanced contrast between text, iconography, and backgrounds to ensure readability for users with low vision.

Reduced Motion

Modified or reduced animations for users who experience motion sickness or discomfort from on-screen movement.

Captions

Text-based captions for any video or audio content, allowing users to follow along without sound.

Audio Descriptions

Audio narration describing visual elements in video content for users who are blind or have low vision.

Common questions about accessibility in Countiful.

Does Countiful support dark mode?
Yes. Countiful fully supports dark mode on iPhone, Android, Mac, and the web. On mobile, go to Profile > Preferences > Appearance and choose Dark, Light, or System. On the web, the app follows your browser or OS theme preference.
Is Countiful accessible with screen readers?
We are actively working on full VoiceOver and screen reader support. This is one of our top priorities and will be available in an upcoming release.
Can I increase the text size in Countiful?
We are developing support for dynamic text sizing (up to 200% or more) that will respect your device accessibility settings. This feature is coming soon.
